Girls In Uniform, a series of photography and sculpture since 2003, originated as a form of self-analysis, where Kwak looked at her background from her new vantage point of woman and artist.

FRESH EYES - International Artists Rethink Aarhus was a collaboration between Galleri Image and Aarhus Centre for Literature. The project resulted in an amazing art book, photo and text installations in the urban spaces in the vicinity of Galleri Image, an exhibition in Galleri Image, readings, and guided walks .

In this exhibition, five photographic artists living in Iceland turned their gaze towards nature. All five artists presented works that seem to challenge the viewer's sense of reality in relation to nature.

The seminar Separate and Together: Landscape Imagery and Icelandic Identity was held on September 30th at Galleri Image at 2 PM.

On Sunday September 24th from 1 PM to 4 PM there was a photographic workshop at Godsbanen as part of this year's Photobook Week Aarhus. The workshop was led by photographic artist Claudia Hausfeld.

The popular Dummy Doctoring Workshop was held on Thursday 21st during Photobook Week Aarhus.

Photobook Week Aarhus celebrated its fourth edition from September 21st to 24th.

On Saturday August 19th we hosted four of the artists from This Island Earth for artist talks at Galleri Image.

For Galleri Images 40th anniversary exhibition KIND OF NOISY SILENCE Hanne Nielsen & Birgit Johnsen showed a brand new video work by the same name. Hanne Nielsen and Birgit Johnsen consider the medium of video as an intuitive art form to examine debate, assemble and disorient reality and existence at the same time.

In connection with Art Weekend Aarhus, we had the opportunity to see Hanne Nielsen and Birgit Johnsen's new artworks at Aarhus University Hospital, where the artists gave an artist talk on their site-specific art installation, commissioned by the hospital, which was revealed in February.

Down in the Valley is concerned with the subjective nature of experience, and in turn, interpretation. It attempts to asses a photograph’s place in terms of time and space; how a photograph, though rooted in a specific time and space, may draw a potential path to an alternate.

Galleri Image was proud to introduce the exhibition What sort of life is this? by Danish photographer Albert Elm in a new collaboration with Cabinet Seoul in South Korea.

Guston Sondin-Kung’s solo exhibition Reconstruction of a Choreographic Script examines the uncertain and fragmented space of the artist’s family history through the figure of his great aunt, Elfriede Mahler, an American dancer and choreographer.

The Art of Domestic Compulsion an exhibition of work by the Melbourne-based artist Magdalena Bors, curated by Alasdair Foster, will tour Spain for the next ten months. Commissioned by Galleri Image and now forming part of its permanent collection, the exhibition received rave reviews in Denmark before touring on to Poland in 2014, where it was shown at Laznia Centre for Contemporary Art, Gdansk  and Galeria BWA, Jelenia Gora.

In connection with his current exhibition Reconstruction of a Choreographic Script, American artist Guston Sondin-Kung will gave an artist talk followed by a book launch at Galleri Image on Friday 17th February from 5-7 pm. The new book Time Dead Time Alive is richly illustrated and includes texts by Guston Sondin-Kung, Yvonne Daniel, Rafael González Cardona, and others.
