Galleri Image is hosting a one-day exhibition in the spirit of summer in connection with Gallery Night Aarhus. The works all spoke of surreal experiences of the familiar and natural. Come and experience summer with a twist.

For this one event, Galleri Image is showing Katarzyna Kozyra's video work "Summertale", a co-production with the gallery, where a fantastical and surreal univers unfolds. We will also be exhibiting photographic works by Magdalena Bors and Giorgi Khaburzania. Bors’ work features an imaginary world where imagination and nature seem to take over. Khaburzania’s work explores the relationship between the human mind and the physical world with a quiet and rather meditative expression.
The works shown are all part of “The Image Collection”, which this year was presented in a book of the same name. The book describes photographic collections, is richly illustrated, and has texts by Joan Fontcuberta, Louise Wolthers, and Lasse Krog Møller among others. The book will be sold during the event at the favorable price of 100 DKK.
The summer party will continue with Gallery Night Afterparty across the street at Café Vestergade at 9 PM.
Gallery Night Aarhus is an annual event arranged in collaboration between Galleri Image, Galleri Jacob Bjørn, Charlotte Fogh Gallery, Galerie MøllerWitt, and Galleri Profilen.

After the screening in Aarhus the exhibition travels to Copenhagen, where it can be viewed during PHOTO COLLECT at Museumsbygningen from August 25th to 28th.
