Galleri Image is presently showing the exhibition Coastline by the Egyptian artist Rana El Nemr, and we would like to set focus on contemporary tendencies in Arab photo and video art.

The seminar schedule is as follows:

14.00 - 14.10 - Seminar introduction by Anne Mette Laursen, board member, Galleri Image.

14.10 - 15.00 Rana El Nemr and Coastline

The artist will tell about her work methods and present her photographs.

15.00 - 15.30 Break

Possibility to view the exhibition Coastline

15.30 - 16.30 Khaled Ramadan on contemporary Arab art.

The Lebanese artist Khaled Ramadan, at present external associate professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, will discuss characteristic problems and tendencies in Arab contemporary art, with special focus on photo and video art.

16.30 - Questions and discussion
