Gallery Image has the pleasure
of presenting the exhibition:
Red Finger
by Hans E Madsen
5th to 27th of January 2008

The central motive in Hans E Madsen´s
latest exhibition Red Finger is the photographers
forefinger. By placing his forefinger in front of the flash,
Hans E Madsen uses his finger to create a characteristic red
glow in the images.
Reflective materials appear in
some of the motives, meaning that the illuminated finger can
be seen in the picture. The photographs literally place a fingered
imprint on the old question of the artists mark in the
picture - the personal touch.
In Red Finger the world
is filtered through the passionate artists temperament, through
his psyche. Hans E Madsens own blood is indirectly present
in the photographs.
By using his camera and his body
Hans E Madsen paints a world of red pictures.
In connection with the exhibition,
Space Poetry will publish a book entitled Red Finger,
with an introduction by Rune Gade.
Hans E Madsen (born 1958) graduated
