”Asma Bint Marwan”

In her latest work Firoozeh Bazrafkan tries to recreate an old poem, probably written by the female poet Asma Bint Marwan. What really happened about 1400 years ago is hard to say. It is up to the individual to choose who or what they wish to believe. Firoozeh Bazrafkan interprets the incident in a more contemporary way.

Firoozeh Bazrafkan was born in 1982 in Shiraz, Iran. She lives and works in Denmark. She studies at The Jutland Academy of Fine Arts. She has exhibited at the Randers Museum of Art, Gallery Artboks and paticipated in the festivals Minority Report and Images of the Middle East.

Hans E Madsen and Firoozeh Bazrafkan will be present at the opening.
